Iron cathode is Allied Metals’ efficient and economical low carbon, high purity melting base iron for use in induction and vacuum furnaces. This is a certified-to-heat product with 100% uniformity in chemistry and shape. The plates are approximately 4 inches square by 3/16 inches thick, or approximately 100 mm square by 5 mm thick. It is suited for automated storage and charging systems, and is appropriate for producing low carbon stainless steel, non-magnetic and heat resistant castings, high nickel bearing alloys, and magnetic alloys. Our Iron Cathode is cost competitive with scrap material and its dependable analysis allows for increased revert utilization. This product is free from sharp or jagged edges and its uniform size promotes ease in handling.
